Charmed Season 1 Episode 10 Recap

The CW’s Charmed is back from its mid-season break. When we last left off with the Charmed Ones, Hunter had fallen into Tartarus along with Harry, and Galvin witnessed it. Charmed season 1 episode 10 picks up after the incident, and the Vera-Vaughns deal with the aftermath.

Let Love Be Your Strength

In Tartarus, a Dragon Eye was torturing Harry with scorpion stings that revealed his memories from when he was human. The memories disturbed him, since they showed him as a criminal who was responsible for his son’s death.

The Charmed Ones planned to trade the Harbinger for Harry. When they went to Dante, the gatekeeper, they discovered the paint can was empty. He threw Maggie into Tartarus so that they would bring him the Harbinger. Charity remembered Alistair mesmerizing her to trade paint cans.

Mel asked Parker to get it back for them. During the trade, Alistair arrived to get the Harbinger and Hunter back. With Maggie out of Tartarus, she created a spell powerful enough to hold Alistair back, and he ran.

Back at home, Harry wasn’t the same. Charity had reviewed the memories they had taken from him, a major rule violation. She told him that what he’d done as a human had saved his son, who was still alive.

Galvin was surprisingly okay with Macy being a witch. His exposure to his grandmother’s religious magic made him open to the idea. Macy confirmed for him that he’d had a protection ward. The one thing that threw him off was Macy’s virginity. However, he assured her eventually that he was fine with it.

At work, Macy and Galvin magically hacked into Julia’s computer. They discovered research on turning human DNA into demon DNA. What’s more, Galvin realized that Julia had sequenced the DNA of Macy and her sisters. It revealed that Maggie and Macy shared the same father, but not Mel.

Maggie was mourning her relationship with Parker. She needed to stop hurting, so she cast a spell that would take away her pain. Unfortunately, it was habit-forming and made her unfeeling. Since Maggie’s powers were tied to her emotions, it messed with her powers. After her time in Tartarus, Parker tried to see her, but she couldn’t trust him.  Maggie needed time to heal.

Hell Fire

Mel was still embedded with the Sarcana. They were trying to help a witch who had been in Tartarus. She was the Keeper of the Flame. Mel was able to bring back more hell fire for them, athough she didn’t know what the Sarcana was going to use it for. At the club, Jada kissed Mel, but Niko had been watching them and taking pictures.

Sex Education Season 1 Episode 1 Recap

Sex Education Season 1 Episode 1 Recap

Sex Education Season 1 Episode 1 Recap

Netflix’s new dramedy Sex Education has teenager Otis, the son of a well-respected sex and relationship therapist, holding his own sex therapy sessions at his school. The first season just dropped, so we will be recapping all eight episodes.

Touch a Nerve

On Otis’ first day of school, he discovered his English literature partner would be Adam Groff, the headmaster’s son who routinely bullied Otis’ gay best friend Eric. It was also heavily rumored at school that Adam had a large penis. Adam asked Otis where he lived and told him he would show up at his house that afternoon. The only problem was that Otis’ mother, Jean, was a sex therapist who saw patients at their sex-decor-filled house. Otis tried to hide everything incriminating, but was unsuccessful.

Jean showed up and made friends with Adam. They smoked weed together, and he flirted with her. However, Jean pointed out that while there are numerous health benefits from cannabis, one of the drawbacks was possible impotence. This struck a nerve with Adam, and he left in a rush.

Maeve Wiley was a rebellious teenager, who hung out in the restroom of a building closed for asbestos and sold papers to other students. She secretly spent time there with Aimee, one of the “Untouchables”, Moordale Secondary’s version of The Plastics. Aimee was seeing Adam, and she told Maeve that he had faked an orgasm with her.

“I’m Owning My Narrative”

Sex Education Season 1 Episode 1 Recap

The next day, Maeve ended up as Otis’ partner in biology, which was temporarily a sex ed class. During class, everyone received a video of Otis’ mother stroking an eggplant. Otis rushed outside, and the teacher instructed Maeve to go after him. They both ran into Adam in the asbestos restroom. He had taken too much Viagra, and his penis wouldn’t go down.

Otis helped Adam realize that the pressures of being the headmaster’s son and of having a large penis gave him performance anxiety. His penis finally went down, and to own his narrative, he showed his penis to the entire lunchroom. Adam was able to orgasm later with Aimee. However, it was break-up sex, and Adam continued his bullying out of anger and humiliation.

When Aimee told Maeve that Adam had an orgasm, Maeve had an idea that she proposed to Otis. He would provide sex therapy to students at Moordale, she would take care of the business end, and they would split everything 50/50. Otis reluctantly agreed.

Otis had his own problems related to sex. He hated masturbating and couldn’t do it. He even laid out the tools, like tissues, lotion, and magazines, to make it seem like he had. Jean noticed and asked why he pretended to masturbate. At the end of the episode, he confessed to her that he couldn’t masturbate, didn’t want to discuss it, and was dealing with it on his own.

Molly is desperate for a connection in Runaways season 2 episode 4. While the majority of the group wants nothing to do with new arrival Topher, Molly hopes that he has answers about her own abilities, which he seems to possess as well. Karolina is the lone member of the group to take Molly’s side, stating that Topher is like them, and if they turn their backs on him, then they are no better than their parents. After a brief discussion, it is agreed that Topher can stay the night with Old Lace watching over him and they’ll figure out a more permanent solution in the morning.

Dale and Stacey have a serum that Jonah used to save Victor last season, made from Jonah’s DNA. The two believe that they have reverse-engineered the serum to kill Jonah, but need to test it first. Using a drone, the two secure a sample from whatever the creature/substance is at the bottom of the hole at the dig site. Injecting the serum kills the sample, but also triggers another earthquake. Before the two can leave the dig site, they are spotted by Jonah and Karolina.

Topher makes a case for his presence by providing breakfast and explaining that he is used to surviving on the streets while they are clearly not. In addition to attempting to appeal to the group at large, Topher tries to connect with them separately, including Nico. Alex has built a wall connecting everything that they believe PRIDE is responsible for doing. According to Alex, the first step is shutting down the dig site. He believes he can do it, but he requires a more powerful computer to do so. The kids put Topher to the test, enlisting him to help them steal a computer form the lab at Atlas Academy.

On the ride to the school, Nico discovers that Topher’s abilities come from a substance he keeps in a vial and applies to his skin. He assumes that the rest of the kids use the same to give them their powers. While Topher is trying to make nice with Nico and win her over, she steals his vial.

The earthquake throws a complication into the plan at Atlas Academy. With the school on earthquake protocol, Alex and Chase go to steal the computer. Nico and Molly attempt to get Topher out before he is discovered by the school staff. Gert slips away and goes to the nurse’s office to try and steal her meds, but she is caught. The nurse places a call about Gert, signaling the PRIDE that their kids are at the school. The kids manage to get away and Topher reunites with them with the computer they wanted.

Adrielle saw her downfall as Tidelander queen at the hands of Calliope. Outlander Season 4 Episode 8 Recap

In the previous episode of Starz’s Outlander, Brianna booked passage to North Carolina for herself and her handmaiden, Elizabeth, while Roger worked as part of Captain Bonnet’s crew. In Outlander season 4 episode 8, Roger continued his search for Brianna in Wilmington, while Jamie and Claire visited a theater there at Governor Tryon’s invitation.

Handfasting

Roger searched for Brianna using the drawing of them. He even asked Fergus, but he had no luck. Finally, in the tavern, Roger heard Brianna speaking, and they reunited. He took her to a secluded barn, where they kissed. Brianna told him that she loved him and agreed to marry him. Roger suggested the Scottish tradition, handfasting – a temporary marriage where they would be promised to each other for one year and a day. Right then, they married each other and consummated their marriage.

Their marriage quickly turned sour when Brianna discovered that Roger knew about the obituary and hadn’t told her. Roger explained that he didn’t want to spoil her happiness, but Brianna knew he worried she wouldn’t marry him if she knew. She looked him in the eye and told him to leave her, and Roger did.

Brianna walked back to the tavern to join her handmaiden. Lizzie was concerned since she saw Roger tugging Brianna outside and toward the barn, not knowing the context of their actions. She waited up for Brianna’s return, but Lizzie was not downstairs when Brianna arrived.

Stephen Bonnet and his men were playing cards, and he offered the wedding ring he stole from Claire, Jamie’s ring. Brianna saw and immediately recognized it. She asked Bonnet if Claire was alive, and Bonnet explained that she was when he last saw her, though it had been a while. Brianna wanted to buy it from him, but he told her to earn it. He raped her as the people in the tavern did nothing to help. Bonnet then ensured that she had the ring when she left.

Before the show, the Frasers met Edmund Fanning, who was suffering from a hernia. Claire warned that he would need a surgeon, but Tryon dismissed her. Tryon also introduced the Frasers to Colonel George and Martha Washington. Claire explained to Jamie their role in American history.

During the show, Tryon told Jamie and Fanning that they had a spy among the Regulators. He knew that Murtagh was the leader, and the Regulators would be attacking a money transport. It was a trap. Jamie bumped against Fanning’s hernia, which caused the distraction he needed. He slipped out while Claire operated on Fanning. The Washingtons were leaving and offered him a ride. Jamie sent Fergus to warn Murtagh just in time and returned as the surgery concluded. Tryon complained that the Regulators had been warned and blamed Washington.

PC Principal checked on Vice Principal Strong Woman. He urged her to place their children in daycare, but she refused. Later that day, Cartman paraded through town and demanded that everyone leave him alone in order to assuage his anxiety. Cartman saw an ad for a new product, Buddha Box.
