Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Finally Dated
PlayStation Nation –
Along with dropping a new trailer, 505 Games and developer ArtPlay have finally unveiled a release date the newest game from acclaimed developer Koji Igarashi, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night! Igarashi’s latest creation will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam and GOG on June 18! A Nintendo Switch version will follow one week later on June 25.
The trailer starts with highlighting some fan reception. It seems Bloodstained was getting a great deal of negative reviews, forcing Igarashi to, in very dramatic fashion, set a course to “prove them wrong.” Much of the negative feedback was directed at the art style of the game, which looked, according to one steam review, “like poop.”
Personally, I believe the new style makes many of the enemies shown off, especially the bosses, look more imposing than they were previously. The new trailer, embedded below, compares the new art style with the old. Give it a watch and decide how you like it for yourself.
With less than two months to go, Bloodstained should be in the final stages. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is set for release on June 18 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. What do you think? Will you be playing this on day one? Let’s talka bout this and more in the Forums or on Twitter using #AskPSNation.
